I know how to do the standard exercise, as described here: http://www.squidoo.com/spinal-coord-injury-workouts (legs) but it seems to me that motion is different from the one that actually powers the legs to stand up. For example, that motion isn't my feet on the ground pushing down and powering my body up. Like the exercise of squats. So is there a difference in those exercises and motions and the functionalty they can strengthen? I hope my question makes sense, thank you.
