I just bought a Bento box this weekend. I think it is going to be very useful for picnics and such. Three bowls all go into one insulated chamber. The bottom is used for soup by the Japanese, the middle for rice, and the top for side dishes, but they can carry anything at all, and keep it at temp for about four hours.

a sponge bob square pants metal lunch box, or a soft sided lunch box from walmart camping section. I like that one a lot, because it insulated.

Zojirushi makes great products. I have a coffee maker and a rice maker by them, both are best I have ever had.

I'm not familar with bento boxes, but I'm a new fan of them, they're cute and compact.

In the movie The Breakfast Club, did Molly Ringwalds character bring out a bento box when they were eating? This thought popped into my head last night when I was looking at bento boxes from Eileen's link.
