    Peristeen now in Canada

Just saw that on their website:

    http://www.coloplast.ca/en-CA/Produc...=265(Coloplast)

    I called:

The whole system (bag, control unit and 2 catheters): 150$
    15 catheters + bag: 325$
    10 catheters: 250$

How long did it take for your body to get used to this system? I've been using the dulcolax thing for 20+ years and would love to eliminate that last 'drug' fron my routine.

    Injured in 1983.

I'd been doing my own self-styled version of anal irrigation before the Peristeen was created/brought to market, though not as effectively or efficiently as the P. The balloon cuff of the rectal catheter allows me to instill and retain much more water, up to 1000cc. (I refill the bag at least once. I do some dig stim intermittently as well.)

I'd used Magic Bullets for many years but with increasingly less success. I also dabbled not so triumphantly with Enemeez. Neither product came close to achieving the volume of waste elimination -- or with anywhere near the reliability -- that I've gotten using irrigation, especially with the Peristeen. When I'm done, I'm pretty well cleaned out.
