    co-op laundry room now changed to credit card or debit card only, no cash

    anyone else run into this in their co- op condo or apartment.
    looks like a ticket to cc fraud or worse to me. co-ops and codos have a big staff and no set in stone rules on the paper trail for shaREHOLDERS financial info
    i changed my cc number and refuse to use.
    this is in metro nyc area

    Go to walmart or some other place and get those credit cards that you fill up with cash. Untraceable.

    I have a credit card with a low limit I use for internet purchases or send with an aide. Maybe something like that or a pre paid like T8 suggested the way to go.
    Unfortunately there will be more and more things like this as we go to using less cash.

    someone is responsible if they accept credit cards

    That's a great idea that I'm going to pass along to our co-op board. Our machines were broken into last month for the cash. A huge expense.

    With todays economy, i dont think that many will have any credit cards left... i'm talkin bankruptcy after bankruptcy

    LOTS of fees on these cards, Like $5 just to add money.
