Naked Pulled Pork and Bold Chuck

I've been craving pulled pork for a while and didn't want to fool around and clean the WSM.....so what if I'm lazy.....
I got an 8.5lb butt and found a 3.5lb chuck in the freezer. Put the pork on naked and used Wolfe Rub Bold on the chuck. Cooked on the Performer indirect with apple wood. Didn't monitor any temps.

After about 3 hours it was time to foil the chuck. I put it in a pan with a little coke.

The shoulder is getting a nice color already.

5 hours into the cook and the chuck is done and the pork is coming along nicely!

Added a little more Wolfe Rub Bold and then pulled the beef, it was like butter.

The pork was done exactly at the 8 hour mark. Perfectly tender and moist. As I pulled I added Wolfe Rub Original.

    The notorious clean bone!

My sandwich with homemade slaw and Texas Pete. Homemade broccoli salad and potato salad.

    you kill me.
how do you afford all that meat? I mean what you posted in the last month is more meat than I would buy in a year.
I hope you come cook for us when a bunch of us meet up.

I do vacuum seal and freeze some most of the time and then simply reheat in simmering water. But I gave most of this away to my neighbors yesterday, one a single woman.....so since I'll be single in less than two weeks, there's a method to my madness! muhahahaha

I only buy meat when it's on sale, that boston butt cost $16, fed me and Cathryn last night with some leftover for bean soup tonight and I gave two big containers to my neighbors. I love cooking period, but I love even more cooking for people.

I had to sign in to see what was naked and who this "bold" Chuck guy was.
The bean soup will be good.
I've never tried simmering it in water to reheat. That is a smart idea.
