    chainring derailuer on force or r

    need some pics. look below at my setup, that has to go or im going to rip my nutz off

    he's talking about the derailleur, not the chain ring.

    John, can it be relocated? I'm not familiar w/ how the Force is set up. Take a couple other photos from other angles...

    i will scott, its more the cable stop hanger that the actual derailuer.

    the force g i tried had it where the black part that says "Top End" is.
    where that is located isn't a good place at all, jabbing you in the belly or leg. i like my cranks low and tight, that would be impossible with it on the bottom of chainring like that

    Yeah, it's the hanger John. I just looked at my FRH and the cable runs upward to the changer. I remember when I used the XTR d's on my previous bike they were opposite of the XT and Deore D's.

    You might take it back to a shop and ask about re routing or a different hanger. It could be that's what they had on hand so used it.. I think I may have sent you photos earlier of how my cable was routed. I have a Deore changer on the FRH, it's an okay d and again runs up rather than down.

    The way your cable is now is definitely in need of re routing. Shouldn't be that hard to do. It's times like this when I miss Andy B. the most; he'd have that figured out in no time.
