    I think it would be mean! He or she would have no friends, where would it live? It would just live a solitary existence in some zoo.

    Unless some good, helpful medical science can come out of this experiment, it is a waste of money and resources to do this just because it can be done.

    im not sure it would be unethical. prehistoric man hunted them to extinction. they did not die out naturally. If there were a way to correct what we are doing to the planet, cloning of some species and using frozen embryo eggs and sperm of others is how those species would be reintroduced to the world. they could not study mammoth without making several because they are herd animals and need a herd to behave normally.
    It might be a good way to study instinct, and what behaviors are inbred and what is taught by parents.
    I think it would be good not to clone something that will eat us.
