    Regular segways aren't cheap.
There are two types of Segway available for sale, the 25 inch wide i2 Segway which has an MSRP of $5,885 and the 35 inch wide x2 Segway which has an MSRP of $6,435. These are base units. There are plenty of accessories available which will increase the price.

yeah, i'm well aware of segway costs. if the 10k includes the segway then it's not too bad. but if you have to pay 10k AND buy a segway = dealbreaker.

even still you're looking at 3500-4500 on top of segway costs. pretty high compared to segsolutions 1299.

Having to lean forward off the backrest to move seems less than ideal. I'd rather retain the gyroscopic ride but with a hand control.

i may be wrong but i think pushing forward on the handlebar accomplishes the same thing, but doesn't require you to lean off the backrest.

i agree a joystick would be nice in some instances.

hey i have an idea! someone should make a 4-wheeled chair with this same technology. that would be pretty cool. maybe it could even go up and down stairs!

Joystick is not necessary for this toy, even a quad can use it no problem.
I told 10K, but is not sure maybe is less, but i don`t think much cheaper, maybe $9000.

Going up and down stairs is not a problem for this toy.
