yes because I used the magic words heavy period. I believe it would've been pricey because my doc put me under anesthesia and we did it in a outpatient clinic. It would be much cheaper in the docs office.

If they can;t get you in before the surgery, maybe a short term use of birth control pills would be appropriate? Taken steadily, your period wouldn't start.

It is probably a bad idea long term, due to the complications (clots, especially I think) but for the 12 weeks or recuperation, it might be an option.

Were you having bad cramps too? I don't have heavy bleeding, just bad cramps?

For those of you that have had the procedure, How long did it take them to schedule you for the procedure after you had the consultation. I am scheduled for the consultation on Monday the 3rd and I have flap surgery on Friday the 7th. I want to get it done before the flap surgery so I don't have to worry about it after that.

god i don't remember. if your appointment is jan 3rd I would think you have a good chance of getting it done in time, depends on your doc's schedule tho.

I had my consultation today for the ablation procedure! I'm having it done on Wednesday at noon. Just in time for my flap surgery on Friday! He was a little hesitant about my age but after some light begging he agreed to do the procedure. Thank you ladies for the information.
