Swapping Wheelchair Back Upholstery Between Brands

Anybody done this? I see a Quickie Upholstery back advertised here for a delivered price of $39.27 after shipping is added and the promotional discount is deducted.

The center section only (does not include the supporting ears with straps and holders which fit on the backrest posts) back upholstery from TiLite for my TR is $119.00 delivered when ordered through a major online discount retailer. I believe the retailer quoted me a break on the shipping because I was ordering a number of other things.

Needless to say, I'm interested in finding an alternative. As a point of information, the full TR upholstery back assembly with straps is $210 plus shipping. There must be a more affordable upholstrery back that will fit the TR. I'm indifferent to whether it is a different brand or generic.

    All suggestions appreciated.

Thank you for that very generous offer. My question is whether or not it will fit a TR? My seat width is 18". I need to measure the back height, but it's fairly low. Has anyone had any experience swapping upholstery from any other brand to a TiLite TR?
