Thread: (My shot at creativity) New site logo suggestion.

  1. #21
I don't understand what the point is - why does the OP have a strong interest in this community, even to the extent of redesigning its logo as a first post? Why does the profile state only "Location: Everywhere, Gender: Unspecified"? Why should this initial post even be taken seriously, regardless of the aesthetic merit of the design? Who is this person, who won't even reveal a gender, let alone give any indication of why he/she has a personal interest in SCI issues?

He/She is probably is a graphic design student looking for practice, something for the portfolio.

Actually, that's not a good idea.

Better keep the letter "C", but still use big red letters and a
neat little symbol, maybe like this:
    CareCureCommunity to cure Paralysis

    Nevermind, that's even worse.

Seriously, it needs to be updated but the op's design doesn't
    look like an improvement.
    Hmmm...

Maybe, I'll think about thinking about it. Thank you for your opinion.

Isn't the child care ward nice? I mean they create a whole world, with the sky blue walls and the story books and everything, I'd much rather be in the child care wing than in a real hospital. Just me probably.

    Wise words.

Perhaps I should end with a quote... by Wilde? Nah. Thank you everyone.

    Strategic Relations,

Perhaps if you had introduced yourself to the site, stated your reason for having an interest in this site, stated you were looking at the logo, and that you had some ideas about updating it, you may have received a better response.

You could have ASKED people, especially the people who have been members here for many years what they thought of the current logo and what they thought of the idea of possibly updating it? Then you could have asked for contributions from the members on what they thought might best represent THEM as a group.

If you had represented yourself in that way,, maybe you wouldn't have received the "welcome" you got, and maybe instead you would have gotten some really good ideas, input and support.

And just for the record i never insulted you, when I said "Ditto", i was responding to a member who was being kind(er) to you, and then i speculated you might be a graphic design student looking for something for your portfolio, maybe you do it for a living, dont know, but it was hardly an insult and no reason to mock me.

Maybe you should have "thought hard before responding".

    yeah,
    peace and love...
