Exclamation Tilite ZRa 2 Backrest issue (video inside)

    hello guys,

A friend of mine has just ordered a Tilite ZRa 2 and he got a problem with his backrest.

take a look on this video:

He granted that all screws are thightened properly.

    any idea?

check the spacer that the backrest clicks to, it might be too small or just needs to be adjusted. good luck

Seems like that may be normal due to the shape of the clips that hook over the stops. Watch what happens as you pull up on the release bar or cord and then move it forward and then back to the locked position.

Yes that is pretty much normal for these chairs, you can adjust some of it out, but it normally comes back.

    thank's guys...
but I'm still not believing that is normal...

my chair is a ZR series 1 and I don't have this problem, but this part was totally modified in ZR series 2.

Where's TiLite guy? Could you give your opinion about it?

    hi fuente,
    bad news... thank's anyway.
this chair has 1 month or less.

What do you think? Is it possible Tilite make a "recall"? (hope so)

I guess if I had a brand new chair I wouldn't be happy if I found ANY issue..but seriously - can't you fix that just by sitting in the damn thing? Where's the harm? My chair doesn't even HAVE the clip mechanism - it's broken and removed for 5+ years, I don't even see it as being necessary.

My new Series 2 had the pin come loose within 2 weeks of delivery.
3 1/2 weeks later the parts come from TiLite and the engineer comes out yesterday to fit them, strips the chair of the old parts and is about to fit the new ones and guess what they don't fit!
The diameter of the new part which should slip fit into the back upright side post is too big and not by a lot but microns maybe 0.5 to 1mm.
What's the chances on a new design of having 2 new designed parts minutely different?
Even the engineer was stunned and he's been at this for years.

Guess I need to wait another 2 1/2 weeks of having a TiLite ornament lying in my house while I get around on an ever more comfortable Quickie Argon I got new 3 months ago and has been great.
