Quartermile, you may want to check this site out http://www.wheelinsportsmen.org/in_y...s.php?STATE=GA they have some disabled hunts and may be able to help you and your son.

I use my side by side to get to about where I want, then wheel my butt to my blind. Usually about 25-50 yards away. Doesn't seem to bother the deer to much, as I've had them walk right by the quad.

I used to, with a modified 1896 Swedish Mauser. I just love that 6.5x55mm cartridge. I even wrote a reloading manual just for that cartridge for an FFL-licensed friend of mine.

Hey Kleonin do you still have a copy of that reloading manual? I bought a 1896 Sweedish mauser in the 6.55 for my son the same day as the utlra sound showed my wife and I the little turtle which = a boy. I have one manual for it but you can never have to many guns or to much ammo

Gore, have you ever done the deer or turkey hunts at SRS below Aiken? I've done the spring gobbler hunts there and they're awesome. Not sure how the disabled deer hunts are but the place is loaded with game.

Finally, I found a small piece of land within 5 miles from home and have permission to bow hunt it. I've been seeing some every time I go out looking. The season opens Sept. 15th, the freezer is empty, I'm hungry and a yearling looks real good.
