Do those Hot Mocs make a difference? I've been looking at buying some for my sits as some of the good hunting boots look like they'd be a pain to put on, plus I don't need something that fancy as I'll never put them on the ground like they're ment..lol

Yes they do work really well. I tried to find a pair of hunting boots that would be suitable for a quad that would allow for swelling and wouldn't cause presssure points but I didn't have any success. Then I thought about giving these Arctic Shields a try and I'm glad I did. I just wear them over my regular shoes combined with a warm pair of socks and they are a great substitute for an expensive pair of hunting boots. They have a zipper in the back and a drawstring at the top. You need to make sure your shoes/boots that you wear with the shields are not too thick or tight. The shields work by reflecting your own body heat. You can put a hand warmer in them as well to make them real toasty.

I'll probably buy some for next season then, cheaper than a pair of hunting boots. I just wear tennis shoes now, so they should work pretty good I think.

Our group took 18 deer this year during 2nd season, plus 1 coyote. 2 smaller basket racks, 1 nice 10pt scored 153", and the rest were does. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-900lbs of meat split 11-12 ways. Only casualty was a running board when I missed a field drive when I was backing the truck up and slid into the ditch, required a skid loaders assistance to pull me out... whoops

So, for you guys/gals who are on Facebook and are interested in hunting, come join up and check it out. We would be glad to have you. Sounds like you guys have a great place to hunt. I'd love to get a 150" deer someday. That would be awesome! Don't be too bummed about having to be pulled with a skid loader. I got my chair stuck in a field so bad once, I had to be pulled out with a four wheeler. Lol!
