    June 2010 So. Minnesota Tornadoes

Well we got hit by tornadoes last month. Our house did not but many people we know did. It came about a 1/2 mile from our home. It was about a 1/2 mile wide at times, up to a mile at times also.

Here is a before and after picture of my cousin's brother-in-laws farm. Remember not only did they lose their home, but they also lost their livelihood for now.

    Here is the before.

The before and after take my breath away. I live in MN also. I feel so badly for people when this happens. I have been reading about the Wadena tornado and they were badly hit too.
We no longer have a basement since we moved to an assessable twin home. Really scarey.

Oh my. I hope everyone is okay.

I could never live in the midwest because my fear of tornados is just too great.

I wish everyone a fast and safe recovery. I just can't imagine what they are going through.

The guy you graduated with is one calm hombre. Sorry to see the loss of homes, farms, livelihood, etc. That tornado packed a powerful punch. I did not hear any sirens wailing in the background. I thought there would be an early warning system in place. Can you get tornado insurance?

    Good luck.

We just had one right outside of town yesterday coming towards us. The sky was crazy looking. The clouds were dark and thick. Blackness at 5pm! The rotating clouds are scary.

The sirens always make my heart drop because you know you better get somewhere and fast because a tornado is on the ground or was seen forming.

Thanx for sharing. I live in tornado alley.
