    Powder Coated Rims

Anyone ever had their rear wheels powder coated?

I'd like to have the set of rims that came with my ZRa powder coated in Wrinkle Black but I'm wondering if the coat would just crack and break off the spokes.

Does anyone know if the powder coat would crack and fall off?

Yeah, I've seen motorcycle spoked wheels powder coated as well but I would guess that car and motorcycle spokes don't have the same amount of flex as wheelchair spokes. I'm wondering if that flex would cause the coat to crack.

Yeah, the metal spoked spinergy's are the wheels I was thinking of having powder coated.

This is likely, but spokes don't bang against stuff too often.

Dave, just use spray paint (Rustoleum or something similar; prime first). It's cheaper & a bazillion times easier to touch up if need be.

Yep, I will for sure. I've ordered some PushBlack hand rims for the wheels but I still need to break the wheels down. I think I'll have the wheels painted at an autobody shop. I won't be able to paint them properly by myself.
