    I'm sooo DONE!!!! :(

So..... I have been having lots of doc appointments lately some of which are just routine, others are for pain issues. So I just told my mom that I am going to therapy as of today for problems with my shoulder. She flips out and says "I think you just like to have things wrong with you". EXCUSE ME????

So..... maybe I just shouldn't seek treatment for anything anymore. OMG... I am so f-ing mad right now!!!!!!! Happy f-ing birthday to me!!!!!

You need to get away from your mother.

I speak from experience. I love my mother but she cannot control me and we cannot get along if she is not controlling me. She is the same with my daughter.

She is in Florida and I am in Arizona. There are lots more issues that go very deep into my childhood. I read a couple of books and have been going to therapy.

Do you go to any kind of therapy? I know you have had lots of pain issues but therapy may help with the situations with your mother. I think I remember a few other posts you wrote too which is why I commented the way I did. If I am wrong, you can correct me.

I just have no patience these days for a controlling parent.

    Thanks Buck

DD- You are correct! I am in the process of looking into independent living. I just need to get through the next 2-3 years so that I can finish my degree. I have written other times about her parenting ability but haven't for a while. I feel so bad doing it but there are just some things that are not acceptable and what she did tonight is one of them!!!!! Things tend to get worse in the summer because she is off work so we are stuck together most of the day. It is extremely suffocating!!!!

I bet some of your pain issues are exercerbated by the stress of living with your mom, I know I have more pain when I'm tense or stressed.

Canuck- I'm sure your right but that does not make it any easier or any less worthy of treatment!!!

No it doesn't but at least you can say "Mom you make me sick" Tactics I used when I was living at home were avoidance of parents as much as possible and since you're a adult there is no need to tell her about anything, how often you go to the doctor is really none of her damn business. I have a nagging mother too, she lives about 15 minutes away and that's too close!!

... ahhh yes very true. And trust me I don't tell her of all of my appointments. However if she comes home and I'm not there she freaks out calls my cell. If I don't answer she leaves a voice mail claiming that she is worried about where I am and PLEASE call her back immediately so she knows I'm ok. I am planning on moving to a completely different continent at some point .
