Thread: Solid carbon seat pan for handcycle?

Solid carbon seat pan for handcycle?

I recently bought a TopEnd Force and I'm nervous of my ass bottoming out on the main downtube under the seat. Does anybody know of a company that would make a custom carbon fibre seat pan for the cycle?

Also, what does everyone else use for a cushion on their handcycle?

I use an old Stimulite Classic 14" x 16" cushion. I've also used a low-profile Roho, same dimensions.

Similar to the pad that came with the bike? I feel that this cushion is inadequate, and I may be at risk of my coccyx bottoming out on longer rides. Do you think the hard foam cushion that came with the bike would be enough with a solid seat underneath?

ADI Rides might be able to build you a CF seat pan.

I use the green memory foam Cpt. The faunky white foam they send with the bike is useless for me. I hear a mattress store sells the memory for a fraction of what a dme store sells for.

Dragon plate will cut the piece at the measurements that you need.

They will tell you the thick you need depending your weight, but probably you will go for a 3/16" or 1/4" at much.

If you are tall it wont work. Its not flat, it would need to be molded
