    HO Management

You have provided the best possible online HO and MO information. We sincerely appreciate and thank you for this forum.

We are seeking the best specialist(s) for very progressed HO in upper and lower limbs, (male, severe TBI survivor x 20 years post-injury; age over 50; ambulatory; well-educated, intelligent; chronic pain, yet willing to work hard to beat this thing as best he can, with help and guidance. Will travel anywhere in U.S. or abroad for the right specialist. Can you make recommendation(s)?

Spain Rehabilitation @ UAB was a recommendation. Upon further info, learned that UAB is no longer a 'specialty center' for HO.

We would sincerely appreciate any excellent recommendations.

    Thank you.
    Theta

Assistant to two FT caregiver moms to adult survivors of severe TBI; one also SCI also.

I was unsure where to post this, SCI-Nurse/Moderator. Is this okay?

    Theta,

I just answered your private message. I don't personally know any place that specializes in HO and therefore cannot give any specific recommendation.

    Wise.

I too have HO in my left hip that I'm seeking treatment for. I live in New Jersey and have been referred to see Dr. Mark C. Reilly who specializes in HO. I would recommend you contact his office. His information is:

    Assistant Professor
    Department of Orthopedics
    Chief, Division of Spine Surgery

University Hospital, 90 Bergen St. DOC Suite 1200
    P.O Box 1709, Newark, NJ 07101-1709

    Good Luck
