thank you, i will try the octopus clip idea. If i want to put my hair in a clip i need someone to put my hair in a ponytail first since i need both hands to open the clip. Headbands are the easier route and I do use them as a quick fix especially when I am doing my dishes.

    thx again and take care!

i've always had long hair and currently when in need of a hair cut just throw a bball cap on...i'm a c6-c7 but got lucky as my hand function came back on my left hand due to radial nerve damage/ broken humerus/etc I've got a huge rod in that arm now but was always right handed anyway. i mostly use my right hand as the left one is usually numb. I'm always tossing it up in a ponytail esp during the summer.

One thing i use alot would be bandannas that i fold up and pre-tie ready to go. I have several in several colors and prints. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_27y_ETmoUB..._bandana_g.jpg

can you pile your hair up on your head? if you can do that, use a chopstick and weave it thru the hair, its easy to put in and easy to pull out.

I'm also a C6-7, and have been visiting this site for a few years without joining. I don't know if this would work for you, and I haven't tried it yet, but Goody has these new spiral hair pins that don't look like they would be too difficult. I need to buy some and try it out.

I used to do lots of hair work

Heres a ol trick I learned from my friend Laura who owned a salon
she used Pre Natal vitamins and 2 Biotin tablets a day and my hair grew fast and long

I still do this ol trick some 20 yrs later and it works for me and I am on lots of meds also so I know what you mean
    Hope you have luck

The chopstick thing sounds great, wtf. I always envy your hair. Can you do curlers & all? I miss really styling my hair.

I grew my hair out FOREVER with hopes of poneytails. Oh & I did. I rocked them alot this summer, until one good friend told me the truth- the bald spots my neck brace wore showed through! Great-all 4!
So, quad chicks, check for bald areas before proceeding out the door w/ your hair up.

i find with big clips like that i have to jam my hand in the opening to keep it open enough while i slide in my hair. it takes practice and patience, and i have little of the latter.
