    Clothes?

This may sound like a dumb question, but where do you guys buy your clothes? I can never find jeans or pants that fit.

    what parts are not fitting?

I buy clothes wherever I like the style and price and quality.

You may not be able to try pants/jeans on in the store, but you can buy them a little longer (so you don't look like you're wearing floods/high-waters) and buy them with the waists wider than you'd wear if you were standing and walking (easier to put on and wear while sitting).

I just need ones with an elastic band because my stupid fingers don't work...unless there is a better way to do it

My fingers don't work either. You don't have to buy pants with an elastic band, though it's true that they will be easier to put on. I hook the belt loops with my thumbs and also hook the inside of my pants waistband with the back of my hand by extending my wrist, bringing my knuckles up. It takes a lot of practice, but if you have decent wrist function you should be able to figure it out.

There are places to buy clothes specifically design for people in chairs, but I've never bought them. Some members have though, and they might post here ad link you.

    Talking clothes

Check out Haband- they have a wide variety of elastic waist jeans and pants (even some with lining for those cold Montana days). They seem to be well made (foreign) and are inexpensive.

Some people have had success with USA Jeans: http://www.wheelchairjeans.com/

Were you not taught how to do up buttons and zippers, and provided with adaptive equipment for doing so when you went through rehab? Do you have access to more OT?
