Thread: 17x16 85 Degree TiLite ZRc

    17x16 85 Degree TiLite ZRc

Now that TiLite has eliminated the "C" package from the order form, this will be the last new ZRc I will ever post on CareCure. It is a polished 17x16 ZRc which is very similar to my own chair, but with different STF heights.

    The specs...

    17" Seat Width
    16" Seat Depth
    85 Degree Front Frame Angle
19.5" Front /15.5" Rear STF Heights
    16.5" Seat To Footrest
12.5"-16.5" Titanium Locking Backrest w/ 4" Deep Rigidizer Bar
    3" COG (spec)
3.75" COG (In Pic After Camber Tube Clamp Reversed)
No Front Seat Taper (14.5" Front Seat Width)
    V-Front End w/ 10.5" Footrest Width
25" Spinergy Spox w/ Schwalbe Marathon Evo Tires & Natural-Fit Handrims
Standard Carbon Fiber Removable Side Guards
2 Degree Carbon Fiber Camber Tube

    Cleveland VA Functional Upgrade Package:
    Quickie Ergo Scissor Locks
4x1.5" "Poly" Casters replaced w/ 4x1.5" Frog Legs Aluminum Hub Soft Rolls

This is the 2 hole "short wide bearing fork" that has come on the last two TiLite's I have ordered (This ZRc and a TRc--both with 16" seat depths, 4x1.5" casters, and 85 degree front frame angles)...

I don't know whether or not this fork is now the standard 4" caster fork on the ZR and TR. If it is, potential owners need to know that the front STF height they spec for their chair will truly be fixed. Unlike the 3 hole wide bearing fork, only the bottom hole can be used. A 5" caster won't fit.

This veteran is also a musician, so we ordered luggage carriers so he could transport his guitar...

This is also the first chair I've ordered with the CF camber tube...

While this may be my last "ZRc", that doesn't mean that a ZR can't still be ordered with the exact specs. Although the "C Package" no longer exists, the V-front end is now a no-charge option if you know how to fill out the order form...

Just don't expect to be eligible for membership in the "ZRc Owners Society".

How do you like the CF camber tube? Is there a noticeable difference in the rigidity of the chair or in the weight?

No noticeable difference to me. Seems to be more of a matter of preference and pocketbook.

Makes me really want to get a titanium chair. Does anyone know on average how often insurance pays for new chairs?
