Rigid chairs and flip up footrests

Can you get a rigid chair with flip up footrests? I HATE the look of the swingaway footrests, but I need to be able to flip them up for the FES bike.

I checked Tilite's option page and they arent shown??

Since the footrest on a rigid frame is essential for structural integrity with most designs, an additional cross tube usually needs to be added to connect the front frame.

I'd be willing to bet Top End would also do it as a special.

Haha third times the charm! I like your footrests!

So i've been thinking that maybe 'riding' a RT 300 FES bike from a manual chair isnt the best idea. I need some dump in it, so I dont know if it would be good to pedal from a chair with dump??

Maybe I should kick it old school and use the ERGYS! Oldies but goodies!

Lynne, I love that rigidizer bar on your chair. I would like a rigid chair but also flip up footrests exactly like you have there. Can you tell me how much extra cost that was? You can send me a private message if you want. Thanks, Smokey

smokey, my CPA has the invoice for my chair right now, but I think it was in the $400 range. Think that's the weld and footloops. You can see the foot loops in TiLite's Designs Unlimited section on page 49 when you scroll down there. I tried to paste that here but was not successful. I'm VERY happy with the modification. I had the tubular footplates on my Quickie 2hp and knew I wanted them again. We specified the rigidizer bar to be placed so I can put my feet down and back enough to propel some in my kitchen. So I know they can place the bar wherever you'd want/need it. Do you know how to go to the TiLite Design's Unlimited page? I'll add more info when I can see my invoice, if there's anything different than what I've said here.

p.s. http://www.tilite.com/assets/pdf/TiL..._unlimited.pdf Here are the tubular footrests. It SAYS they're for folders but they can add the bar. On another page it shows flat footplates with the extra cross bar on a TR. Hope this helps!
