Going to hyperbaric oxygen chamber again tomorrow

Well the doctor has decided to start me back up in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber over here. He wants me to get this sore to close up a little bit more before we have surgery on it. I'm not looking forward to sitting in that chamber again for 2 hours but it has to be done. I've had this damn thing for over a year now and it's kept me from doing anything. I hope this helps and brings it down this time so I don't have to have surgery but at this point, I would be happy to have surgery and get it over with. The damn thing hurts, and I'm not supposed to be able to feel it. Here's a picture of me in their last time I was doing it. I've lost a lot of weight since then. I had a caregiver come in and help me this last weekend who was my caregiver two months ago and she was really surprised at how much weight I've lost. I haven't been trying, it's just worked out that way. Anyways, wish me luck.

Make the best out of today because yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come. Nobody knows that better than those of us that have almost died from spinal cord injury.

Hey, sign me up, Icould stand to loose a little weight, that is , w/o the open wound. It's no fun, good luck from someone who's been there b4.Had a wound the size of a nerf footbal in the back, it healed, but it took time. Good luck, make the best of it and come back strong!

    Hi Ryan,
Sorry you have to go back in the chamber, but hoping it helps in the healing process. I hadn't seen a modern day chamber so I am glad to see how open it is with visibility at least not obstructed. The last chamber I ever saw was back in my scuba days and they resembled mechanical behemoths. Don't get too thin. You need some padding on sensitive areas!

It's too bad they couldn't hook you up to an Avatar while you are in that thing to pass the time.

It's amazing that it can heal when they have you laying on it. Good luck!

Not a fun thing Ryan, but it should help you heal and that's what's important right now.

Good luck. You look better in that thing than Michael Jackson ever did.
