    Low-tech inventions

I have always liked this list and have posted about it before, featuring one or two of the items on the list of the 12 greatest low-tech inventions.

    http://www.oddee.com/item_96721.aspx

The top item on this list an adjustable lens are made of plastic sacs filled with clear fluid. To increase the power of the lens, one just injects more fluid into the lenses, using a provided syringe.

The fifth item on the list is a moped cone. Now contrary to what you think, the cone is open. It maintains a cushion of warm air in front of your face that not only warms your face but keeps rain and insects out of your face when you ride your bicycle or moped.

Though not mentioned a lot the moped cone was also found to be a very effective form of birth control as well

Both inventions look like effective birth control measures. ROFL. Wise.

I'm subscribed to ted.com RSS and from time to time, I spend some time watching those presentations & ideas. There were presented those eyeglasses too.
