Hello all,

I have received permission to post from both Paul and Steven.

I am a researcher in the Department of Psychology at the University of Surrey exploring the experiences of players of Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (EverQuest, Ultima Online, The Sims, etc.). I am particularly interested in gaining insight into the views of participants who are in wheelchairs.

If you are interested in taking part in this project which will will be reported to games industry publishers EA and Microsoft, and will contribute towards my MSc and PhD theses, please find a link to a brief questionnaire at http://www.surrey.ac.uk/~psm1ak. The questionnaire asks questions about yourself, your character(s), and your perceived abilities to get what you want both on and offline.

From the results I will select several partitipants, at your discretion, to conduct online interviews in order to delve deeper into your thoughts about the potential crossover of online play experiences to offline life.

The questionnaire should take no more than 20 minutes to complete. Your answers are completely anonymous and confidential, and you have the right to revoke your participation at any time. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at psm1ak@surrey.ac.uk.

Thanks very much for your time!
