    Anyone with Mini-Vangater lift experience?

    Hi,

I would like to get some info from those that have or had a Mini-Vangater lift. I am trying to decide between it and a Uni-Lite (which I use in my actual minivan) for my next minivan.

    Thanks.

Bump on that old thread since I was going with what I know, Uni-Lite, but it's back ordered for 3 months. So before I go for the Mini-Vangater I would like some more comments on it's reliability, noise, rust etc ...

If you get a full sized Vangater there is an adjustment (for safety) which doesn't allow the lift to fold into the van with a chair on it. They set me up with my 2010 Ford Van but left the setting on the lift so it would fail to close with even minimal weight on it. The 1st 0 degree morning the lift would not fold into van. Somehow the cold was causing the lift to sense weight on the lift. Once it warmed up the lift closed fine and a five minute adjustment has avoided a repeat. If you get a Vangater ask about this setting, you can test your setting by grabbing the lift as it folds into van. They have set mine up to allow maximum weight and I have had no repeat problems.

I will get the Mini, full size would not fit the Sienna but I will make sure to look at this setting if it exists on the Mini too.

    Thanks for your input.

I have one but it's the braun one, I think it's the full size one and I am happy with it, doesn't rattle much plus it's nice to be able to use the door.

Thanks Sh1wn, I'm going with it unless it cannot fit my unmodified Sienna (beside door extension and hard floor).
