    I've noticed.
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."

    Is this ok?

    Hi -

I just joined the site and I am (gasp!) an owner of a caregiving company. I have read the signature policy and I respect it. I have created a "visitor" message for my profile with a minimal amount of information about me and about our company.

I'd like to participate, so I hope I've lived up to the policies. Let me know if I need to change or delete anything.

    Thanks!

    - Tim

No, that is still considered spam. Your VM has been removed. Please comply with our policies on this.

I ABSOLUTELY want to comply... that's why I asked.

I guess I misunderstood this part of the policy statement:

"3. Profile Posts. You can post information on your Profile's Visitor Message board concerning products or services that you are providing, including fundraising and commercial links. However, drug advertisements and links to pornographic sites are not allowed. "

I honestly thought that my VM was in compliance with that, but it's no big deal anyway, I'll just not have a VM. That's ok with me.

    Thanks,
    Tim

Is it correct to think that this message should probably also have been banned/removed (I did not post it)?

Posts that are from members and are recommendations of companies that they have used themselves vs. those posted by for-profit companies to drive business to their own websites are seen differently. This was reveiwed by the moderators and Dr. Young and found to be within our rules, while yours was not.

ok. I thought it looked like spam. I'll get the hang of how you do it here eventually.

    TColling,

CareCure is an information site. Members ask questions and provide information to each other. They can recommend and discuss commercial products. We have been flooded by spammers in the past five years, advertising products on our site. Therefore, we have established strict rules concerning advertisements on our site.

We do not want commercial organizations, manufacturers, clinics, services, doctors, and others to advertise themselves or their products in posts, signatures, or visitor messages. If you have question or information for our members, you are welcome to post but please, no advertisements of your services, products, or organization to our community.

We do have a forum entitled "Equipment & Services" where you can post about equipment or services for sale that is relevant to our community. But, that is the limit of the advertising that we allow on the site. Thank you.

    Wise.
