Quadriplegic hunter wins legal fight, takes aim

I haven't decided if this depresses me because I am a vegetarian, or if it is a good thing. I need a moral compass here.

Deadeye posted a thread on him & I think it's wonderful!

I never was keen on hunting until wildlife rescue taught me it was neccessary or the animals really did suffer. Plus it's way less cruel than slaughterhouses. Just "food" for thought.

For what it is worth, I am not exactly doing a "yahoo!" for him, but it has nothing to do with his being a quad as much as hunting in general. I know, I know, lots of people hunt and enjoy it. Don't flame me because my opinion won't change and I am not stopping you from what you find pleasurable. I just could never enjoy taking aim at Bambi personally.

    No flame here..perfectly understand.

I could never hunt & do find it a bit disturbing the excitement it brings. I live with one..they get excited before going, send texts from the stand so everyone knows they "got one" & grin ear to ear returning home with their prize. I support him though but a mount isn't going on these walls nor will I say hell yea on a pure trophy hunt. The rule in this house is..you kill it, you eat it!

You got it. No on trophy hunts, thats nuts. But if you don't think of shooting bambi, try shooting his BIG brother the Elk. There's plenty of meat for the year!

I've been veg for over a decade (and against animal suffering much longer), but I am really happy to hear this news. I can totally relate to missing out on activities you used to love, and I can imagine how great it was for him to be able to hunt again.
It was very exhilarating when I first got a power chair and was able to grocery shop by myself again! and that was after only 6 mo's or so.

I'm not a fan of hunting either, like Eileen, not something i would enjoy. But I am glad this man was able to get back to an activity he enjoys.

What type of moron would try to block him?

There are too many nutjobs out there getting their jollies off by trying to control others in their everyday lives.
