IMHO there is nothing out there as good as the iPhone. I does everything but make you coffee, and who knows, that app might be in the works too. Seriously, everything else is inferior to the iPhone!

    I GOT THE DROID!!!
It should be getting it in the mail on Monday!
another reason i got the droid is i want to mess around with the android API. I may even write an android application for the phone and sell it for millions of dollars.
    Not a bad price, unlimited texting/data/internet + 900 minutes + insurance for 89.99 a month

I have had the Droid for a couple of weeks now and have been happy with it. I would have got an I phone if it weren’t on AT&T. I used to have AT&T before I switched to Verizon and the reception was terrible.

Yeah… they have voice dialing on it but it doesn’t seem to work with the Bluetooth headset. Mr. Coffee, Maybe that should be the first application that you write for it.

My brother has the HTC. It appears to be a pretty dope phone. That's pretty much my contribution to this thread, except to add that as technology progresses, I find myself regressing. I had a Blackberry, but downgraded to a simple Motorola because I was weirded out by HOW connected I was to the world, ever single minute of every day.

That, and apparently cell phones cause brain cancer.

Some of my friends have the iphone and some have the droid and I got to try out both. Out of the two I liked the droid better but then again I wasn't exposed to the iphone at the start. So I'm sure if I was use to the iphone I would hate moving to the droid.

Cory, thanks for posting the price for your Droid - $90/month isn't bad. Was that a special price or is that the Verizon rate? I've looked on their site and haven't been able to figure out what the price is for minutes, data, etc. Any idea what the monthly fee would be for 2 phones (if i get one, my wife is getting one too). Thanks, Mike

Mike the only reason its that cheap is because I work for cisco and I get a 25% discount on the rates + some other discounts.

Heres a good break down though:
    http://phandroid.com/2009/10/28/droi...-of-ownership/

It only shows it being 109 a month, but I think its more than that so you might want to call up verizon and ask them.

Thanks Cory - good site. Our current phone contract expires in March . . . just researching now but will give Verizon a call. That's cool that you get such a good discount by working for cisco. Mike
