Talking Droid versus IPHONE! What should I get?

    Hi guys,

So I've been searching the internets for answers and from the videos I've watched I kind of want to go for the droid. But another part of me wants an iphone.

If anyone has used a droid let me know if you guys like it.

I love verizon so I kind of don't want to switch to AT&T which is another reason why I want a droid but i think the iphone looks sleeker.

I have used a droid. Its really slick, there are a couple downsides. It doesn't have the universe of apps the iphone has and I wasn't a big fan of the slide out keyboard. On the plus side, much better coverage, the gps and turn by turn directions ROCK, and its google so search is killer. Rumor has it a smaller droid will hit the market soon, I am waiting for that before I ditch my iphone.

    Droid!

I like verizon too and wanted to keep them. The droid has a real keypad, so you can type something without any of screen being obstructed.

The battery can be changed. There's a removable 16 GB micro sd card. You would have to buy the adapter to be able to insert the card into a computer. I happened to already have one from my LG Env.

The gps is awesome! If you don't already have a gps the droid will take care of that for you.

It is new, so there are still bugs. The browser can can be super fast sometimes and it can also freeze up. Hopefully this gets worked out. Otherwise I am happy with it.

I'm going to go for it then!
I need to see if my company gives me some sort of discount on Verizon, I know they have like a 20% with AT&T.

Either way I'll still get the DROID! The GPS I thought was very impressive and its free!

You might want to look at the Htc Eris too. Very similar to the Droid - runs Android I played with this phone and the Droid in the Verizon store and liked this better. Rumor has it that a better variation of the Eris will be released in early 2010 - called the Passion I believe.

Iphone and I love it... 85K+ of apps....calls do drop in dead spots but the Droid will come and go brother....Just Verizons way of trying to up with Apple...Whatever for those who use Macbooks they will tell you that Apple is more reliable...You'll cuss yourself for buying something so new out on the Market.

THERE IS NO Bluetooth Voice dialing on the Droid, neither the Motorola nor the Eris.
    Voice dialing sucks.

    It SUCKS.

Without being able to use my feet while driving, I need voice dialing. No go on the Droids, and no workarounds.
