Thread: Some new pictures of my new accessable house in Florida

  1. #11
Thank you for the good words. I know plenty of people already around the general area as there is a group of us in chairs who have relocated to this area from up north. This area was voted best place to live in a wheelchair a few years back by New Mobility. I have my own policy of not meeting up with people from the net as I've just had too many bad experiences with that sort of thing, thanks anyhow for the invitation.

Beautiful house. I to love the furniture & the way you have it set up. I admire you for doing what you did all from your wheelchair. Way to go guy! Hope your feeling better from the UTI & hope your infected toe is healed or is getting better.

WELCOME TO FLORIDA ! You will love it here in the winter and not have to be up in Rhode Island in the winter months in the freezing cold if you don't want to be since you know have a southern home to escape to. Would very much like to meet you. I'm not to far north of you here on the west coast in Oldsmar. If you would like to get together to meet sometime Curt I would like to meet you also & introduce myself. I live up in Oldsmar which it near Clearwater, Safety Harbor, Dunedin & not to far west from Tampa. Just shoot me an e-mail or PM me thru this site & I will give you my phone # so we can chat about getting together.

Take Care Curt ! & Again Welcome to Florida !

    Regards,
    Bob S.

Yes definately is time to start enjoying it. I've been through the mill with health issues lately. Ended up in the ER last night for this UTI that I just cant seem to shake. Taking Cipro for it now.

I hear its real nice around where you live now, like 60 degrees, enjoy. When I first got here a few weeks ago it was very hot, almost too hot, like 90 degrees, its since cooled down and now very comfortable.

Beautiful! As a former New Englander (VT) I'd say your seasonal timing is about perfect for the RI to FL transiton... Enjoy!

Beautiful place! Looks like it's tiled throughout the house?

Heres a couple more pictures I took last night of the expansive living room of my beautiful house in Florida. The house across the Canal is now complete. It was so much fun doing this project I want to do it again with a larger even more fancy house. You can see the "for sale" listing for my house on the Equipment and exchange forums right here on Carecure. It is on the market now.

Oh and yes it is tiled throughout the house including the bedrooms, a lot easier pushing the chair on tile than carpet plus the tires wear carpet fast. This is a fairly maintenance free house and a great community to live.
