That's freaky. I'll have to wait for Wise or someone knowledgeable to post before I believe it. Why would she fake it? Sue? Attention? Or is it real?

Hell, I'd take walking backwards and running any old day of the year, compared to now.

    Very strange.

A bit like chronic stutterers who's stutter disappears when they sing.

The only problem I have with it is the association with a flu shot. That could just as well be a coincidence.

    I'm an asshole.

I was going to try and be funny but there's nothing funny about this.

I'm not sure what to make of any of this. Her symptoms go against everything I know as to how are CNS works. I don't understand the correlation between her speech patterns and her running patterns. I thought those two things were controlled by different parts of our CNS.

she from maryland. it was on local news about a month ago. she was a redskin cheer leader. that is one hell of a price to pay to get the flu shot and of course the cdc said it had nothing to do with it. the worse thing is it is going to get worse everyday. that way i don't get any shot my luck it would happen to me.

An article here says it may be psychogenic:

    http://www.examiner.com/x-13791-Balt...ll-in-her-head

"Dr. Vinocur stated that there have been no cases of dystonia associated with the flu vaccine and that neurology experts at the University of Maryland were using Ms. Jennings' case to teach neurology residents about psychogenic dystonia."

"Dystonia is a neurological disorder where twitches and other repetitive, involuntary reactions occur. Normally, these repetitive actions do not let up. In the interview videos, Ms. Jennings' symptoms subside at times. According to Dr. Vinocur, neurologists saw the video and were convinced it was psychogenic."
