    recipes that use grapes

    Besides salad (like a waldorf) and chicken veronique, can anyone suggest any recipes that use grapes?

    yes, salsa. fruit salsa's rock, make'em all the time (actually made mango salsa tonite for my blackened chicken) great on chicken, pork, steak fish. get a real thick salsa of your choice, chop up some cilantro and half several different varities of grapes. combine the grapes, add a tablespoon or 2 of salsa or more and some of the cilantro to taste. squeeze a wedge of lime and add another wedge to your corona and grill some meat!!!!!

    Really Decadent Grapes (appetizer)
    20 large green seedless grapes
    4 oz. blue cheese (room temperature)
    Finely chopped pecans (1/2 cup)

    Wash and dry chilled grapes. Warm a small piece of blue cheese in your hand and flatten. Wrap completely around the grape and smooth to cover. Roll in nuts. Chill and serve within 4 hours.

    Chicken with Grapes
    4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
    1/4 cup Marsala wine
    salt and pepper, to taste
    1 tablespoon butter
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1/2 cup seedless green grapes, halved

    Put chicken breasts in a shallow baking dish. Pour wine over the breasts. Refrigerate 1-2 hours. Remove chicken from wine and return marinade to refrigerator. Salt and pepper the chicken.

    Heat butter and olive oil over medium; add chicken breast halves. Cook for about 5 minutes on each side, until chicken is browned, tender, and juices run clear. Transfer chicken to serving dish; cover and keep warm. Add marinade and the halved grapes to skillet. Cook and stir until mixture boils. Continue to boil for about 45 seconds. Pour over chicken. Serve with rice and a vegetable side dish. Serves 4.

    I have seen chicken salad in the deli at Lowe's Foods of NC with grapes in it. No clue how they make it, though...

    That appetizer does sound yummy. Here's a side dish:

    Carrots with Grapes

    1 lb baby carrots
    1 Tbs sugar
    4 Tbs brown sugar, divided
    1/2 stick butter ( 1/4 lb.)
    1 Tbs flour
    1/4 cup orange juice
    1 cup seedless grapes (red are preferred)
    2 Tbs vodka

    1 In saucepan, combine sugar and 1 Tbsp. brown sugar with enough water to cover carrots. Simmer carrots in sugar water combination 20 minutes or until tender.
    2 Drain carrots.
    3 Melt butter. Add flour, stirring to combine well.
    4 Add brown sugar, orange juice, and grapes. Stir to coat grapes.
    5 Add vodka. Bring to a boil.
    6 Pour over cooked carrots.
