Any luck yet, thehipcrip? I had a look on the internet too, and it's hard to tell if the sheets I've seen are like mine.

Female here, and I've used baby oil for the past few years for bare butt transfers out of the shower. Works great---I got that tip here on CC. Thought I got it from you, Fuente...

I am definitely going to try these strips...thanks!!
But don't you get oil over your bed - or whatever it is that you transfer onto after the shower?

K, I use hand lotion for the transfer out of the shower. I put a towel on my seat cushion, and any excess lotion ends up there.

(Planning on ordering the strips myself as well .... just haven;t gotten around to it.)

    fuentejps,
My strips came in today, ordered 2 days ago.
I've had a plastic board for 31 years now that looks like this, except it only has 2 groves in it.
You think they'll work alright on it?
Should the strips cover over all the plastic, except in the groves of course?

I don't want to have to buy another board, unless I need too..

You can get padded ones as well. I have a padded one, but don't use it.

I have no problem using the sheet when I'm bare and wet.

Gosh, sounds like a bit of hassle to me. Then I presume you have to wipe down your board afterwards?
All I get on mine is a bit of water that soon dries without me having to do anything.

It is a hassle, but a lot less of one than the baby powder method I was taught in rehab.

Thats why I am ordering the strips. I am interested in the slide thing you use too.

In a pinch, an upside-down paper Chux works too. Put the plastic side to your skin and the paper side to your slide board. You can also put a dry towel or pillow case on between your butt and the board and it will work nearly as well (don't but the slide board inside the pillow case...the fabric needs to move with you).

that does not work at all if you are transfering yourself.
