The health center also houses an 82,000-square-foot surgery pavilion with state-of-the-art technology to accommodate all types of surgery with the exception of transplants and a few other highly specialized procedures. The health center also maintains two Urgicare Centers to provide care for minor medical needs, a large facility for outpatient procedures and physicians' offices in nearby Strongsville and a fitness center called LifeWorks of Southwest General that incorporates state-of-the-art equipment, with individualized fitness counseling within a medical model. As a result of a partnering agreement created with University Hospitals Health System in Cleveland, Southwest General also offers select services from Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital and the Ireland Cancer Center and it is currently working on renovations in the women's and children's area which will allow it to grow closer to providing a MacDonald Women's Hospital model as well. These nationally acclaimed services of University Hospitals allow Southwest General to further expand its comprehensive care for its community.
