I had an achilles rupture repair 15 months ago. Unfortunately it has not been successful. Among various other problems I still walk with a limp and my knees and hips hurt. My physio suggests further surgery, he thinks without surgery I will suffer with back pain and my leg will atrophy even more.

I have cervical spondylosis so already have problems with my neck and back anyway so it is likely I will suffer even more if I don't have the operation.

So, do I have further surgery on my achilles, I am 60 and the thought of another year of recovery from the second operation and the possibility that may not be successful has me in a quandry.
