    Foley Catheter question

Last Monday my Urologist put a Foley in me because I injured my bladder sphincter while cathing. I'll have the foley in for 2 weeks for my sphincter to heal. Since my sphincter is "open" for 2 weeks, will it take time for it to completely close after the foley is taken out? The reason I ask is because a friend of mine w/ SCI leaked for several days after his foley was only in for a 3 day road trip.

Two weeks should be enough but each indiviual is different.

Two weeks of leaking? Or are you referring to the time it takes to heal?
