I diagnose problems, then choose viable solutions. Sometimes it involves writing code, others involve noticing irregularities and tracking their causes. Often times it involves scouring various log files to look for potentially malicious behavior and implementing solutions to prevent them from bothering us again.

Storage is cheap, so there's no reason not to keep it. All of the messages on this site consume less than 2 GB of space, with attachments using just over 2.75 GB. Bandwidth is only used when people access the older content.

There's no solution that's perfect for everyone, so we keep them—just like the majority of other sites.
    Steven,

You're amazing at answering questions. It's written correctly and straightforward. Bravo to the web site maintenance.

That's what I've been doing lately Paul. Facebook and AOL don't get along so I've been using straight IE. nOTHING OTHER THAN MY SECURITY <damn it> suite is running so I'm kind of confused why CC is slow and FB isn't. Although a CCer reported a friend of hers was hacked through an app so she's pulling out of all apps and maybe FB too. Maybe with a CC page on FB we need more attention to the malicious stuff?

Or I'm over do for a back up and deleting some unused programs.

Test other websites and see how they compare to CareCure. If they are opening up quickly then the problem may not be on your end. I'll talk to Steven. I think Facebook is doing a better job of protecting your privacy. I do recall hearing about a Facebook worm and all I can say is be careful what you click on.

I won;t allow any of the apps on fb for just that reason. just use it to communicate now.

I will have multiple tabs open too, when cc is slow. The others load w/o any problems.

If anyone wants to help, please post here what time the site goes slow and what rough time span you equate with slow. Knowing this would be a tremendous help in knowing what to look for.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I'm trying to keep everything working.
