My right calf is about an inch smaller than my left calf. My right leg is more affected by the nerve damage so I guess that makes sense. But what doesn't make sense is that other than being able to go up onto my toes while standing on one foot I still walk, run, jump, hop etc. and don't do those things any less than I usually do. In fact being that I was working with a very active 2 year old class during the school year and at the YMCA (also with children) I was doing all of those things more than usual for the last couple of months.

So if I am still so active why is my muscle atrophying? How can I build it back up? Could the difference in the sizes of my calfs be due to a combination of both loss of muscle in the right leg and depending on my left leg more?
