    i hope these sorry ass piece of shit dme's are reading this. i know for sure its getting the word out. fucking bastards.

    yo tilite you should kick some of these fuckers to the curb. i know colours did when john box ran the operation.

    my problem with my first chair involved a quickie ti, sunrise are the ones that confirmed my suspicions about chair being too big and the problem with bottoming out jay 2, they informed me the jay 2 has to be proper size because of the design. they however did nothing to help resolve the issue, i even offered to pay costs to get chair and cushion right if they charged me dealer cost, still nothing. that is why i now have Tilite and it IS a much better chair, although my DME(Different one) screwed up and the seat to footrest height is to long with no room for adjustment. I was told by a Tilite Rep at an expo that i could send it back and have it fixed for $300, guess they expect me to scoot everywhere on my butt for a month. I just wear shoes with thicker sole so feet stay on footplate, but sucks when i want to roll around barefoot. We should be able to buy equipment factory direct with no middle man and at a reduced costs.

    easy fix man, cut it w/ a pipe cutter. i speced my 1st zr to long and tilite said cut it. takes alittle time but was flawless.

    how did you cut it with caster in way? i was told titanium is easy to cut with pipe cutter, they say it is softer than aluminum.

    First post ever on CC; kinda nervous.

    Apria Helathcare (at least in the greater Chicago-land area) was horrible to deal with when I needed repairs to my Quickie Ti. Over many, many months they would only replace some of the parts while not having others. Ended up having to take an entire day off work to sit in their lobby while they completed "all" the repairs. They ended up stripping several bolt leaving me to hacksaw the heads off. Two big thumbs down to Apria (and one down to RIC for "referring" me to them).

    A guy on a competing bball team in Michigan has been working with me to order a new chair. Just need to decide what to get.

I thought this was near fraud, as my parents would have ignorantly paid the bills if I hadn't intercepted them. And every time I called to ask what the bills were even FOR they acted like they had no idea what was wrong... The bills didn't even say what they were for!!

    Incompetent billing agent - admitted she wasn't experienced with Medicare! Made many mistakes submitting the claims to Medicare - I had to clarify them in the end and facilitate payment by our insurance companies as she clearly did not know how to.

    Had to call literally dozens of times to push them or I suspect we would have never seen our wheelchair.

    You know it's bad when Medicare actually recommends that you switch Providers.

    The only positive note is their wheelchair specialist who works with the OT at RIC - Dave Knight. A very good guy, fairly earnest, tried to help us. When we finally got our wheelchair - and the wheels didn't fit the frame (!) he was good about getting the problem rectified quickly (2 weeks).
    Totally agree. METRO SUCKS.

    They are excellent.
    They are located where Cruiser's use to be, on US 68.

    They even have vans lifts, ramps power chairs you name it.

    Guy answered my email right away and was happy to help. I called his office the next day, and when they found out that I was in Western Massachusetts, they suggested I deal with their Chicopee office. I sent them a referral from my doc, and they said that they would process it through my insurance company. A week later, I called, and they hadn't done anything because there were a few questions that I needed to answer - they would call back when they heard something. Two weeks later, they "would check again with the insurance company" again. Two more weeks later they promised to call right now and promised to call me back one way or another.

    This process started out at the end of May, and the last time I heard from Hudson was the end of July. They have never made the promised return call. The referral? Frogleg forks and softroll wheels through Tilite.

    If you are going to deal with HHHC, I would suggest that you refuse to deal with anyone except Guy.

    DME means Durable Medical Equipment.....how can you have a problem with durable medical equipment. You may have a problem with durable medical equipment SUPPLIERS, which is where I think all of you are going...but can we clean up the terms of use?

    Invacare tilt acting up AGAIN.
    I probably use the term DME out of place, but hopefully people know what I mean.
    I'm pissed at all of them right now.
