    Working 2 Walk 2009

    Hi Mods,

How about we sticky this one up instead of 08?

    http://www.working2walk.org/

Get signed up and recruit some friends.

Does Chicago have that Blue Van service?

I was studying transit from airport to hotel. It didn't look to me they stopped near hotel?

"After bringing you 3 energizing conferences in Washington, DC,
Unite 2 Fight Paralysis decided to make W2W mobile. We offer our first
Regional Working 2 Walk this year in Chicago, Illinois.

Our co-host this year is the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation, and
Working 2 Walk will conclude with SSPF's "Day at the Races" at the
    Chicagoland Speedway on August 29."

This should be fun, I've been to one Indy car race and it was great.

I think the best bet is said to be Universal Cab Service, Leo. I'll check more in depth in a few days. I was just there, and the venue is beautiful!

I really want to come to. If I can get the time off work and find someone to share hotel costs with I will be there. Chicago is driveable for me.

    Cool welcome to CHICAGO

as a lifelong citizen of Chicago I am elated for this event. Even if I don't get to talk to Dr. Young, lol, I would be more than willing to share my ups and downs of my 17 years of sci and look forward to meeting other sci's

Just don't mind my brash, arrogant, egocentric attitude lol

That pretty well describes a lot of us.

    Cool to leo

unfortunately leo I will not be much help in this area. I live in the south suburb of chicago about 15 miles south. I use a great disabled bus service to get around the suburbs and another to get to and fro from the city. You have to be signed up here locally to use the service, but since it is still april, I will ask around and try to help my fellow sci's find transportation. I will post hopefully in the near future. I'm sure if you stay at the Hiatt there will be transportaion available, otherwise the event would not make sense and feasible.

Shoot, maybe, I'll get my license back, rent a disabled van, take a few of my fellow sc'is around the city and party a little bit lol, of course I would,nt be drinking, but getting stoned might not be out of the question.lol
