    Thumbs up yes

I was given a Kindle for Christmas. The actual reading on it went well, but the controls for everything else gave me fits. The menu controller is a roller for highlighting and then pressing that same roller to select. I just don't have the dexterity to do that. For most others the Kindle 1 would be good & is available (used) on the Amazon Marketplace: http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Amazons...rd_i=133141011

So anyway I sold mine & bought a Kindle 2. It works much easier for me, altho I do still hit the wrong button from too close placement. It reads easy in bright sunlight & in low light you can increase the text size to get along fine.
I haven't tried it, but you can transfer files & documents to the Kindle, using e-mail & PDF & such. I don't know if you can simply hook up USB & copy but I'll look in the guide next time. Here's the Kindle page on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00.../ref=sv_kinh_0
