Thread: Toss Them in the Brigg!

  1. #11
I refer new injuries, but not their mothers. Which is a shame. If the mothers could walk in and find Obie standing there like a walmart greeter, ushering them past the mosh pit, I would.

As a new SCI, I found the horror of the medical reality at CC a lot worse than the horror of any personal squabble.

This is the only forum I've ever been on that I put people on ignore. It's now nice to read a thread and not have to wade through all the BS. I read one the other day that the whole first page was solid "on your ignore list". From the second post it went into off topic nonsense.

This is the most unmoderated forum I've ever been on though which I like most of the time. I like the free speech. There's a few here that need the ban yet though IMO. They read like trolls.

Personal squabbles don't bother me that much either,I usually grab a beer and sit back to get a good laugh.Alot of people don't like it though.

The thing that bothers me to no end is the attacks on ones appearance such as weight and those on ones abilities or lack of.Maybe that motivates some but I'm sure it ruins the self-esteem/self worth of many.

I understand why this was moved, but since this is such a low traffic forum, I respectfully request that it be moved back to life. There we will get more votes and more accurate results.

EDIT = Thanks! Whoever moved this back... you rock!

The more i think about this the more laughable it becomes. Are there really that many pussies here that care what someone on the internet says to them. If thats the case you need to see a shrink about your sense of self and lack there of.

Hardcore facts ppl, sci is a bumpy road, grow some thicker skin and some balls.

I certainly wont change the way i post, no matter what, neither should anyone else.

The above is not fair to many. A lot can't work. To some, this is their lifeline.

I see your point, but that's not what this is about. I don't believe there are rules about being an ass. If there were, you and I would both be banned.

    Example:

If I post asking for tips in transferring uphill, you would likely post about exercise, protein, weight loss, etc. Fine. But then it turns into a big steroid fight, and my question gets ignored. That's not okay. The people causing the threadjack would be put in the brigg for 3 days to cool off, and I'd get my question answered. Is that laughable?

The fights sure are fun, but they often get in the way. As for personal attacks..... also fun but there are rules against that. Change the rule if you don't like it, don't fight it's enforcement.

It was Adi's lifeline, now he's gone. Perhaps with some enforcement of rules he may have learned to play by them. I dislike him and won't miss him a bit, but these facts remain.

Some cool moderating techniques discussed in this Wired article.
