Post $250.00 stimulus payment due in late May

The social security website today published a story about the expected stimulus payment for all people receiving various forms of social security. It says that we will all get a $250.00 payment in late May as part of the economic stimulus legislation that took place this week. Good deal, huh? Even though it is less than he original proposed amount of 600 dollars, it is still a nice little extra for those who really need every penny of income.

If you get VA benefits in addition to SS benefits, you will only recieve one check. If you only receive VA benefits, you will recieve a check based on your VA income, but only one govt resource will pay you the extra check.

Rats... no double or triple dipping. Now that would be a stimulus.

    Any income limits Skippy?

No income limits that I have heard of. I guess there is also something on the VA website, but I havent been able to find it.

I think that all american families will get at least one $250.00 check, but SS has the only time line posted that I can find.

Sweet! Last time I actually used it to pay down some debt, but this time I just might have to do the patriotic thing and buy a flatscreen!

The information I was able to find did not have any information abou income limits. I'm sure there will be a limit like last time, but I was able to find info only about the stimulus payments to be sent to Social Security recipients and everyone knows how limited that income truly is.

I'm putting mine toward a huge barbeque party for my son who is graduating from the engineering school at university. It is about time. He's 34 years old. I'm so proud of him. He already has a guaranteed job with the US Forest Service.
