    Acorda filed an IND for fampridine sr today.

    That would be the sustained release kind of 4ap, which is said to have fewer side effects. For those people with sci who couldn't handle the immediate release version but felt that it was helping them, this is good news.

    However, the pace is glacial.


    The company expects a standard 10-month review at the FDA, meaning Fampridine-SR could gain marketing approval late this year.
