Thread: VEGAS Baby!!!!!

    VEGAS Baby!!!!!

I'm tryin to go for spring break. I have friends in southern Cal and I'm thinking of flying into Vegas with my buddy, spending a few days there, then driving out to our friends and flying back home out of San Diego.

So- a few things, I'm sure I wont need a car while in Vegas right? But then we'll rent one in Vegas and return it in SD. You can do that right? And I need to find a casino to stay in. I know there are a lot of good deals right now, how can I get one and make sure it's accessible?

Any insight anyone can provide would be great! Never been to Vegas, and isn't there something weird about renting a car and age? We're 22 and 23 years old. Thanks!!!

There is a lot of threads on here already about hotels in Vegas. I think most of them just suggest staying in any of the newer hotels on the strip & you should be fine with accessibility.

I always thought to drive a rental car must be 25 whenever we've rented cars. I'm sure there must be some way around that. Curious to see what others say.

You can rent a car in vegas an return it somewhere else. I am going in march and I got my tickets through southwestairlines vacation packages... I paid under a grand for 2 round trip tickets from the bay area to vegas and an accessible room at the mgm... It would be more for your flight being that your coming from the east coast.the flight to san diego is like an hour you might be better off just gettin a flight from vegas to sd then flying back to the east coast from san diego. Do you really want to be in a car for 5 hours?

almost any hotel in vegas is accessible. i have a lot of info about that on my site.

yes, you will be able to do all of that. just search the best deals and go. flight should be about $250 RT and hotel should be about $60-$100/night.

best & cheapest way to get around vegas is the Deuce (public bus).

    have fun.

Do you mean search the best deals on travel sites like priceline? I think sometimes they say they don't guarantee accessibility is that something to worry about?

My friend said the Luxor and MGM are sort of at the end of the strip and everything is sort of far away- is this true?

It´s not much of an issue if you use the Monorail system. Check it!

never use the monorail. period. it's set behind all the hotels and a pain in the azz to get to. AND it's too expensive.

MGM & Luxor are at the end of the strip but there are plenty of sights on that end. you don't have to go far. again, take the bus or hoof it.

Whenever I plan my LV trips, I always hit the hotel sites first. Often, the deals can´t be beat and you can reserve your room with a small down payment using your credit card right away. If you have to cancel your trip, there is often no fee charged as long as you honor the reservation conditions. Right now, hotel rates are cheaper than ever, and even the luxury hotels are much more affordable than ever before.

I disagree. It´s totally accessable, and once you get the routes down within the casinos, it´s a breeze. $12 for an all day pass is expensive? In Vegas? Thats pretty much chump change, but, too each his own.
