Adrian-It's pretty there, and it looks like fun downhills. It looks drier than I expected.

Just back from a visit with Steve Garro kayak camping, paddling, fishing up the Colorado above Lees Ferry. We had a blast ! It was good to catch up with Steve, his wife, and dog, OSA.. Me and an AB friend had spent the week before paddling Lake Powell for 7 days. 2 weeks off trying to keep up with an AB paddler. No urosepsis, skin ulcers, intestinal obstruction - so right there it was a success. All the rest fell into place too. Lots of pictures?.

There is an article about outdoor disabled sports in the most recent High Country News. I provided a lot of the information and the author talks a bunch about my trajectory.

    More pictures from Lake Powell
There is a picture of a wall and if you look really carefully, I am taking a picture of my buddy kayaking. This wall is 900 to 1000 ft tall and the boats are dwarfed.
We camped across from it and watched the glow of dawn hit that from across the lake - in our bags, drinking joe. That is how to treat neuropathic pain.

Congratulations on your successful trip, arndog and Steve!

Our warming up trend continues, and I got out to track practice, handcycled, swam and lifted this week.

Wednesday we leave for a month in New Zealand - any ideas on how to keep up with some strength training on the road would be appreciated. I'm bringing therabands, but otherwise I figure it's pushups, pushups and more pushups... If the weather allows I'm going to try to go kayaking at Doubtful Sound.

There was a money wall preventing viewing of the article. But there is an end around by signing up for a free 2 week trial at this website:

That is how I saw the full article.
