Thread: What workout did you do today?

  1. #21
    Hi Rhyang
Yup, Truckee is going to get a start on winter tomorrow. I need to scrap off the summer wax on the nordic skis and prep them.

I read that thread about quads and lack of increase in hr with exercise. I did not know that. That must be the answer to Alex's question.

Looks like you have a plan and a goal to get on that ice. I wish I could join you...
Hope that left quad responds to your leg raises.

    - 45min on the indoor handcycle, pyramid resistance every 5 min
    - 5 sets of as many mini-squats as I could stand and do with the walker
    - A bunch of standing balance and endurance exercises
    - 12 oz Christmas Ale (Rogue "Santa's Reserve mmmm..") curls

Alright Danine, wish I had easier access to a pool without schlepping downtown.
    Alpentalic and LMC nice work.
Alpentalic -Are you pyramiding following your HR or work(watts) or speed? That ale looks pretty dark on my computer.

I did my normal 55 km ride (commute to work/uni and then out to the races then home) and raced a criterium on normal road bike - actually its a pretty nice road bike that was my 1-year post-injury present to myself. Its supposed to be getting hotter here (Australia) but summer doesn't really seem to have kicked in yet so weather is perfect for outdoor exercise.

Thinking about starting a supplimentary gym program to try and strengthen hamstring and gluts and get them working on the bike a bit better (probably help the walking too) - this might just get me motivated to go do it.

Legwork yesterday to try and keep what I have. Lunges, presses, extensions and hamstring curls. If we don't get any winter weather, shoulders and biceps tonight.

Weight training, Chest back and biceps and 15 mile bike ride time just under an hour. I may take the day off today being that it's raining outside but I do have my cycle trainer and may still spin in the garage for cardio. Keep up the good work guys and gals and lets stay as healthy as we can.
