Stem cells from testicles an option to embryos

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Cells taken from men's testicles seem as versatile as the stem cells derived from embryos, researchers reported Wednesday in what may be yet another new approach in a burgeoning scientific field.

A few trees down in the yard and a week without power. Although it sounded like the roof was being ripped off, not a scratch on the house. So very unlike it was with Rita. Many here not so lucky. As many as 300 missing people is believed to have been swept away into the Gulf.

This is great news. I hope it is true. I read about this last night and was going to post it up here but DA already did it. This will put the politics & religion out of the way so they can get the funding to do more research.

actually the politics and religion of esc was thrown out the window long ago with alternatives, like this one. we just continue to use that excuse for political and religious points...

Not really. ESCR has been the most promising treatment in stem cells. The other alternatives have hurdles that take years to develop. We needed a cure yesterday. This new method is great news for men. What about women?

Sorry, but glad you are sound. Hope communities will regain soon.

Is that really so? I am afraid to say you are wrong on this one like all you’re alternatives for the simple cause of creating alternatives like you imply (iPS etc.), and speak for yourself, cause in fact you hints without knowing it, -'how would one know these cells were/are having regenerating and cell replacement capabilities say on an injured cord to threat without doing research on hESC?' It is very nice to see research like this as for basic research (what you posted on top), but it is not new, and you should also know that it is pure basic research (basal). But at the same I am also very sad to see posts like you’re commenting like just above, like ‘we’ uses excuses for political and religious points, -if some are doing that, it is a few (and all know whom they are), but in real life most continue to push, like for all kinds of research including hESC, which you for some reason have decided for reasons I don’t know is bogus (maybe your own religion in fact comes into excuses of play as for this). -It is very important to support basic research for even hoping to find cures for chronic spinal cord injuries, and for the better understanding of cell derivation the human embryonic stem cell system with its capabilities to derivate from the origin to more specific not so na├»ve cells is an important tool for researchers and scientists to further investigate the human body for the better. I would have hoped you would have understood that. Secondly, as for chronic therapies on SCI, there are hopes as for what I know, but without more basic research and the knowledge of mapping the human spinal cord and cell systems having the capabilities for the origin of a cell structure making might require it might take forever. It is super important that peoples support basic research, and especially basic research which can led to a cure for SCIed, if that is of any interest. Because as of today if wanting to do clinical trials on chronic spinal cord injuries, one might as well try to threat such with coca cola or something. I am very sorry you do not understand the importance of basic research for SCI therapies, and the lack thereof.

esc are foreign cells, you already have stem cells in your cord.
